Could you be a Make Every Contact Count Champion for your company?

Could you champion Making Every Contact Count training across your company and beyond? You and your company will be known as a place that cares for health and wellbeing, as well as giving you more training opportunities to improve your skills.

What does it mean to be a MECC Champion?

  1. You will be identified as the ‘go to’ in your company regarding MECC and a lead contact across Sefton.
  2. Your company will gain the MECC Champion ‘badge’ for their website and social media so you will be known as a company that cares about the health and well-being of others.
  3. You will work with HR and other department heads (if you have them, or appropriate team leaders/managers) to ensure that all relevant staff have been given the opportunity of Level 1 MECC with Living Well Sefton.
  4. You will proactively engage in ‘healthy chats’ and ‘brief interventions’ to Make Every Contact Count’ with the people you work with and serve.  This may include being part of data collection and encouraging others to complete surveys that help public health see how many MECC discussions are taking place across Sefton.

Being a MECC Champion could…

  • Improve  your colleagues ability to support themselves, their families and service users.
  • Give your company/organisation  credit for being a caring employer
  • Add something meaningful to your CV that shows you believe in supporting behaviour change for healthy outcomes.
